Pretend Play Toys: Would You Like Your Kids To Become A Doctor?

November 27th, 2008 admin No comments

Nowadays kids are really bright. They begin learning with computer at the age you were not capable of reading yet. However, you could teach your children to learn even at a faster rate. No, we are not suggesting buying a computer as a birthday present for your two year old son. We are merely suggesting teaching your kids to use the power of imagination. I have seen so many places, I have travelled so many worlds, I have won so many wars, I have healed so many people when I was only a small kid. And yes, kids can easilly accomplish impossible and unexplainable things because parents can teach them to use powerful imagination.

Would you like to see your kids to become a doctor or a nurse? With pretend play toys it is easy to do – your son could pretend to be a doctor and your daughter could pretend play a nurse, your home could become a hospital and all your relatives in a split of a second would become your children’s patients. With the professional doctor equipment (pretend toys) they would be able to go to war hospitals and to heal great number of injured soldiers. You could even take a part in their game: a story narrator explaining how things work. How can you check a pulse, how can you inhale deeply – there are a lot of things that your kids can learn just by playing with pretend play toys.

Or instead of taking part in historical war, your kids could become a family doctor. Just imagine, you are lying in your bed and reading your favorite book, while your little kids are preparing medicine and trying to do a massage for you. You can easily guide your children to the right direction when they are playing with pretend toys. If you would like your kids would do something differently, just say “real doctors would let patient rest for a while (while you finish reading that paper) after he is treated”.

With appropriate doctor costume and doctor handbag you kid will not only pretend to be a doctor. Remember, pretend toys allow you actually to become one. It it easy to engage a group of children in the game (hospital can hire five different doctors). Children will not only enjoy the game, but they will experience what does it mean to work as a team, or even how to become a leader. Pretend toys (and specific pretend games as pretending to be a doctor) allow kids to develop their inner fantasy world and to learn things faster.

November 25th, 2008 admin No comments

You can improve both your short and long-term memory skills by participating in certain memory improvement games, and studies actually show that people are able to learn memory techniques faster and retain them longer when the training involves task-specific practice, such as with memory improvement games.

Try These Out

There are literally hundreds of different memory improvement games that you can choose from, as they are very popular these days because so many people are so concerned with getting their memory back. One of the most important things to remember is that you need to have fun with these memory improvement games, and rather than being depressed or sad about your memory loss you need to stay positive and optimistic and this will carry you through and dramatically increase your progress.

Pexeso: Matching Pairs

This is one great improving memory game that you should definitely add to your repertoire here. It is very simple and involves the matching pairs of cards from a large group. The basic point here is that when you turn one card over if you do not find a match for it you have to turn them face down again but remember which card was where, and this helps to improve your memory.

You play this game using a standard deck of cards, but you can also use tiles that have pictures or numbers on them, as long as there is at least one other tile that matches each. Start by laying out about 24 of the cards or tiles face down, making sure that the 24 cards consists of 12 matched pairs. Once you have them face down you need to move them around so that you are sure you do not know where each card is located.

Now you just turn one card over at a time and try to find the card’s mate. This is not only one of the most effective memory improvement games but as well one of the most enjoyable and definitely one to try out first.

Trivia Quizzes

This is another great option for improve short term memory game, and the best part of all is that you can make the trivia about anything, from movies, television and history to food and culture. Trivia is also great because you can play it with a large group of people, so you can sit around with your family and friends and make this memory improvement game the highlight of the night.
